Cocoon Pants

$135.00

description

Shape – Inspired by the Thai fisherman pant, the Cocoon shape is an oversized pant, allowing the fabric panels to fold and overlap in the front and secure in place with attached ties.  After tying, the extra fabric at the top of the pant is folded over the ties. Extremely comfortable, and perfect for the chic bohemian.

A cocoon my dears, is a very appropriate metaphor in this case.

I purchased these pants quite a while back and chose to copy both the fabric and color displayed on the model because I found them to be ravishing in appearance. It turns out that I was indeed frantic with joy upon discovering my own pair of these pants..not only is the texture and color just decadent, but they are wonderfully comfortable.
I do have one complaint (which as you can see did not take away from my rating of this item). This complaint pertains a bit more to customer service than item quality. Upon receiving my first pair of these pants I found them to have a 27-28″ inseam despite my ordering of a Regular inseam which is supposed to be 31-32″. I emailed Gaia Conceptions about this and they requested that I send a photo of these pants lying next to a measuring tape. I did this and asked if they would reimburse the shipping costs when I sent them back and the response that I got read “We will determine this upon the item’s arrival after we evaluate its condition.” I found this answer to be unsatisfactory as I am a very good customer (ordering between 2-3 pieces a month, sometimes more). Needless, to say it took about another three and a half weeks to get the new, longer pair of pants after I sent these back. My shipping costs for the item’s return were never reimbursed and counting the remake of this item it took approximately 2 months for me to finally have this item in finished and in my hands. Again, I did give it five stars because the item itself was fantastic once the length issue had been rectified. I simply was discontent with the effectuation of the customer service and timeliness of the repairs on this piece.
*As a side note. This was not my only time having an issue with length in regards to a garment from Gaia Conceptions (please read my review on the Chunky Cowl Kaftan Shirt).
